The Zip Book \‘the-‘zip-buk\ n (2007) 1: Creative writing for a cause.
The Zip Book is a website designed to house a variety of writings, musings, photos, and commentary submitted by our readers for your entertainment. We are collecting a compilation of zips to eventually be published in a hard copy book, with the proceeds being donated to various non-profit organizations.
Submissions:
In submitting work to The Zip Book, you are agreeing to allow The Zip Book to publish your work on the internet or print under your own copyright. All work must be the original work of the author. Please avoid inappropriate or offensive language or content because we have readers of all ages.
You may submit by either pasting the text in an email or attaching it as a word document to Ian Goodnight and the editing team at submit@thezipbook.com. Please include your name and contact information along with the submission so we may contact you when your work is chosen. We respect your privacy. Information sent to The Zip Book is not shared with other organizations. If your work is chosen for the hardcopy book we will contact you with further instructions.
Zips which are deemed appropriate will become available for viewing on the site. The zips will then be judged by our readers to decide which zips shall be included in the hardcopy printed version of the zip book. First place carries a $3000 prize. Second, third and fourth place will earn a $1000 prize.
